The National President, Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Emeka Rollars, has called for unity among members in order to put the motion pictures industry in positive light.

Rollars stated this over the weekend during the inauguration of Ondo chapter of AGN.

He admonished the newly elected executive council members to be united and put the interest of the guild first before anything else.

Also speaking during the occasion, actor turned politician, Hon. Desmond Olusola Elliot, admonished members of the Guild to unite and support the new EXCO for the betterment of the nation’s movie industry popularly known as Nollywood.

Elliot gave the advice in his capacity as chairman of the Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Tourism, Arts and Culture as well as member of AGN.

Members of the new EXCO (Ondo State chapter) are Kayode Allen (Chairman), Sola Omotosho (Vice Chairman), Eni Olotu (General Secretary), Adebowale Olugbemi Stancy (Financial Secretary), Ebisemiju Eniobanke-Darlington (Treasurer), Ayokunle Ajisafe (PRO) and Akinyemi Adewumi (Chief Whip).

The AGN President had earlier set up an electoral committee to plan for election of new exco members for Lagos State chapter of the Guild which tenure expired recently.

The electoral committee has Remmy Ohajianya as chairman. Other members are Tarry West (Secretary), Ifeanyi Ezekwe, Lara Akinsola and Angela Philips.
