Former Minister of Education, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, has challenged President Goodluck Jonathan to come out and meet her and the #BringBackOurGirls coalition when they take their protest over the abducted Chibok schoolgirls to the Presidential Villa, Aso Rock Villa, Abuja, this afternoon.

“We urge Mr President to borrow a leaf from the conduct of d leaders of d Nat Assembly and meet with us,” Ezekwesili tweeted this morning.

She also tweeted: “In preparations yesterday 4 TODAY's MARCH to d Villa, our AbujaFamily members of #BringBackOurGirls are LOOKING to MEET with our C-in-C.”

Both the Presidency and the Police were informed in advance but have refused to approve the march but Ezekwesili says there is no going back. The activists want to directly hear from President Jonathan on efforts being made to the rescue of the over 200 students of Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok, abducted by Boko Haram terrorists on April 14.

Interested members of the public have been told to gather in their red attire at the Unity Fountain, Abuja by 2:30pm. The protesters are scheduled to set out for the Presidential Villa by 3pm.

Security has already been beefed up around the Villa and it is not clear how far the protesters would be alowed to go.
