APC Ondo South 2027 Senatorial Candidate, Barr Duerimini Isaac Kekemeke
By FIDELIA SORIWEI, Abuja
The All Progressives Congress (APC) Senatorial Candidate for Ondo South Senatorial District in the 2027 general election, Barr. Duerimini Isaac Kekemeke, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the nation’s security agencies for the successful rescue of pupils and teachers abducted in Oyo State.
Kekemeke’s commendation was contained in a statement he signed and released on Saturday, July 11, 2026, following the operation that secured the victims’ release on Thursday.
He described the rescue as a demonstration of the Federal Government’s commitment to protecting lives and property across the country, adding that it reflected the growing effectiveness, professionalism and resilience of Nigeria’s security architecture under President Tinubu’s leadership.
According to him, the safe return of the victims has brought relief to their families, the people of Oyo State and Nigerians who had remained hopeful throughout the period of uncertainty.
Kekemeke praised the officers and personnel of the various security agencies involved in the operation, describing them as patriots whose courage, dedication and sacrifices contributed to the successful rescue.
He urged Nigerians to continue supporting security agencies by providing timely and credible information to strengthen intelligence gathering and improve efforts to combat criminality across the country.
The APC chieftain stressed that "security remains a collective responsibility requiring cooperation between government institutions and citizens."
While congratulating the rescued pupils, their teachers and families, he prayed for their "full recovery from the traumatic experience" and reaffirmed his confidence in "efforts to build a safer and more secure Nigeria."
