Commotion as fallen container blocks Apapa – Lagos Airport Expressway

If you are a motorist coming from Apapa/Festac/Mile 2 axis of Lagos and towards Oshodi/Ajao Estate/Airport Road, please find another route as the expressway has become blocked.

In an accident that happened moments ago, a container fell off a trailer coming from the Apapa area and blocked the road. The accident happened at the foot of the bridge linking Ladipo Junction and Ajao Estate/Airport Road, effectively cutting off movement.

The trailer also felled a giant billboard and hit a new Paragon bus apparently coming from Ladipo, Mushin.

“No lives were lost in the accident but the go-slow has stretched as far as the eye can see,” said a News Express Special Correspondent. “There is commotion everywhere as motorists seek a way of escape. Men of the Lagos State Traffic Management Agency (LASTMA) should, please, hurry over and rescue the situation.”
