Former BCC Lions and Super Eagles midfield star Moses Kpakor has dispelled rumours that he died in Monday’s twin bomb blast in the Nyanya area of the Nigerian capital city, Abuja, which officially claimed 75 lives.
Writing yesterday evening on his Facebook wall, Kpakor, who is presently Senior Football Coach, Benue State University, Makurdi, described the claim as baseless, as he has not been to Abuja in a very long time. Below are his words:
“MOSES KPAKOR IS DEAD! The Abuja bomb blast claims the life of former BCC Lions and Super Eagles midfield star. This has been the news in Benue in the early hours of today. But in a twist of event, here are the words of legendary BCC Lions and Super Eagles’ star Moses Kpakor: please, stop the tears friends.. It is not true. I am alive and healthy. I have not been to Abuja for a long while, and couldn’t have been a victim of the bomb blast. However, I pray the almighty Lord to grant the souls of all that lost their lives in the blast eternal rest IJN, amen.”
