Boko Haram: ACCEPT FOREIGN HELP, Atiku tells Aso Rock

Former Nigerian Vice President Atiku Abubakar has told the federal government to try new strategies in the war against terrorism, including accepting foreign help.

“We urgently need new methods and strategies to deal with our security issues, including accepting foreign assistance,” Atiku wrote on his Facebook wall while reacting to this morning’s deadly bomb blast in the Nyanya area of the country’s capital, Abuja.

“I am angered and saddened by the news of multiple explosions that occurred in Nyanya bus park in Abuja this morning,” Atiku said.

“Join me in praying for the families who have lost loved ones in this incident. It is indeed a terrible tragedy,” he added.

Though no group has claimed responsibility, fingers are pointing in the direction of Islamist militant group Boko Haram, which has waged an increasingly bloody insurgency in the country’s North-East region.
