A former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, said on Tuesday that Anambra State has the potentialof becoming one of the five largest economies in the world in view of its fast growing economy with vast enabling opportunities.

Speaking at a mega rally of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Nnewi, the ex-CBN boss observed that the target can only achieved by creating the enabling environment for investors to come, thereby making the state the hub for industrialisation.

According to Soludo, the Willy Obiano-led administration in the state is driven by vision aimed at making the state the first choice investment destination and the most preferred location to site new industries.

Soludo added: “From my analysis, the administration of Gov. Obiano has stabilised the economy of this state. Very soon, Anambra will be among the fifth largest economies in the world.

“I give credit to APGA government for this vision. Obiano is a man with high level of humility, endowed with divine wisdom, full of administrative ideas and political prowess to transform the state to global height.”

He further urged the people to embrace the vision of the state government as a way of encouraging her to continue consolidating on the already established works.
