Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan’s “2013 Man of the Year” awards by various leading newspapers in Nigeria have been described as a befitting recognition of his exceptional

leadership and vision.

The former Military Administrator and Governor of the defunct Bendel State (the present-day Edo and Delta states), Brigadier General Samuel Ogbemudia (rtd.), in a congratulatory message expressed satisfaction on the choice of Uduaghan, saying: “Even as I find their unanimity very striking and unprecedented, I agree with them on the kernel of their coincidental judgment.”

He noted that Dr. Uduaghan’s vast ideas and achievements, especially the “Delta Beyond Oil” initiative, made his choice and recognition a worthy one.

While describing the “Delta Beyond Oil” initiative as a product of a grand vision, Ogbemudia attested to the great transformation the initiative has brought to Delta state.

He recommended its emulation at the national level. “I was privileged to visit Koko in Warri North Local Government Area, on that occasion l proclaimed Delta Beyond Oil as a formula for National Redemption in due season,” Ogbemudia said.
