The ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has extended its lead to 17 states in the governorship election in Anambra State, according to collated results.
Local governments so far recorded as having been won by the part comprise all seven LGs in Anambra North Senatorial District, four in Anambra Central and six in Anambra South. The All Progressives Congress (APC), Peoples Democratic party (PDP) and Labour Party (LP) have so far won a local government each.
LGs won by APGA are Ogbaru, Onitsha North and South, Anambra East and West, Oyi, Ayemelum, Awka North and South, Njikoka, Anaocha, Nnewi south, Ihiala, Ekwusigo, Aguata, Orumba North and Orumba South.
APC has won Idemili South, PDP Dunukofia and Labour Party Nnewi North. Election in 65 units of Obosi Ward 7, Idemmili North LGA has been rescheduled to hold this morning due to late arrival of materials.
