Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, has claimed that some artistes in the country resort to voodoo in their quest for hit songs.

The rapper made the allegation during an episode of the Tea With Tay podcast, where he spoke about the challenges of producing commercially successful songs in the Nigerian music industry.

Odumodublvck noted that achieving a hit song was difficult, adding that some artistes could spend their entire careers without recording one.

He also praised Burna Boy, Wizkid and Davido for their consistency in releasing songs that have enjoyed commercial success over the years.

“Getting a hit song is not easy. Sometimes people even do jazz to get one. That is why you see some artists crashing out when they struggle to get a hit.

“Burna Boy, Wizkid and Davido have been dropping hit songs consistently for years.

“You have to respect that. Some artistes never get a hit song throughout their careers,” he stated. (The Sun)
