Bayelsa State ADC Chairman, Theodore Allison
Bayelsa State Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Theodore Allison, has said the party’s presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar will poll more than 30 per cent of the total votes to be cast in the State.
Allison, who also predicted victory for the APC in the February 16 poll, alleged that while other parties are plotting to undermine the electoral process through rigging, the ADC has strategies to win through credible means.
Speaking with reporters in Yenagoa, the state capital, yesterday, he described the Atiku-(Rotimi) Amaechi pair as a ‘Pan-Nigerian’ political arithmetic with requisite experience and exposure to lead the country.
In Bayelsa State, we’re united and properly coalesced. We’re ready for the forthcoming elections. While others are busy plotting how to undermine the outcome of the election, the ADC under my leadership is strategising on how to win through credible means,” he said.
The ADC chairman alleged that the Bola Ahmed Tinubu presidency has weaponised poverty in the nation, thereby making the average Nigerian unable to afford daily meals and other basic needs of life.
He said the ADC was poised to change the narrative in the country for the better when Atiku and Amaechi are elected.
Allison said the ADC has a trans-generational empowerment and developmental agenda anchored on honesty, accountability, transparency and Pro-Nigeria for all citizens, irrespective of religious, ethnic and political leanings.
Allison described Atiku and Amaechi as the right pair to salvage Nigeria and Nigerians from poverty, underdevelopment and dishonest leadership.
His words: “What made me come into politics is because we needed a platform to effect positive change. ‘’My emergence as chairman of the ADC through coalition in the state is because the leadership of the party and stakeholders saw the zeal to make a positive impact in me.
“The ADC will have more than 30 per cent of the total votes that would be cast in Bayelsa State, come 2027. We’ll surprise many.
“As we speak, as chairman of the party in the state, I know what’s happening in and around this state. And I know that many of those in the APC (All Progressives Congress) and others would be defecting to the ADC soon.
“Those with foresight in other political parties t have seen the signs and handwriting on the wall. The ADC will win the Presidency.” (The Nation)
