ANORACC will host a Journalism Awards in 2027 to exhume the ancient history of Ndigbo.
Executive Director, Odimegwu Onwumere, said the theme is “Igbo Spirituality Remains Best Among Ndigbo.”_
He said in a recent statement there is no Igbo without culture. Odinala is what is in the land – it holds our soul. Before any religions, it taught us morality, justice, Chi, Ala, and respect for ancestors.
“We are losing ourselves. Our children forget their names, language, aborigine. Odinala remains best because it teaches no one is above the earth, truth is Ofo, life is Chi, and a man does not abandon his siblings. It is our identity, medicine and law,” Onwumere said.
He called for sponsorship/partnership from Ndigbo home and diaspora, disclosing that categories will be named after sponsors e.g “Chinna Ikeka Media Prize”.
