The operation was conducted at about 8:30 a.m. on October 26, 2026, under Operation Savannah Shield, following reports of kidnapping activities around the community.
The troops reportedly made contact with the suspected criminals during the operation and neutralised two of them.
Five kidnapped victims were rescued during the encounter.
The troops also recovered one Dane gun, one cartridge and a mobile phone from the scene.
