AIG Orutugu

The Anambra State Executive Council (ANSEC) at its 8th meeting of the year on Wednesday held a Special Valedictory Session for retiring AIG Ikioye Livingston Orutugu.
Orutugu who is also an outgoing Commissioner for Police in the state, was recently promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police.
His retirement came on the heels of the mandatory retirement age of 60 years and 35 years in service.
The Council commended the outgoing Police Commissioner for his exemplary leadership, professionalism, and significant contributions to the improvement of security in Anambra State during his tenure.
A statement made available to journalists in the state by the Commissioner for Information
And Value Reformation, Law Mefor partly reads: “Government acknowledged his partnership with security agencies and the Solution administration in sustaining peace and protecting lives and property.
“ANSEC prayed for God’s guidance and greater exploits for him in his future endeavours.”
The EXCO also used the occasion to celebrate Governor Soludo’s 66th birthday, even as members offered prayers for him.
It further deliberated on several key matters relating to the ongoing implementation of the Solution 2.0 agenda.
