All political appointees of Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, have been advised to quit their positions if they cannot campaign for the governor ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The directive came after the national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) reportedly advised technocrats serving under President Bola Tinubu to resign if they could not campaign for the party and the president in the next elections.

The party’s National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda was reported to have issued the warning while receiving members of the Progressive Local Government Chairmen’s Forum in Abuja on Wednesday.

The Senior Special Assistant (New Media) to Governor Uba Sani, Abdallah Yunus Abdallah, made the remarks in a post too on his verified Facebook page on Friday, saying the same directive applied to appointees serving under the Kaduna State Government.

He wrote: “2027: Quit if you can’t campaign for us, APC tells Tinubu’s ‘technocrats’. The Same applies to appointees working with the Kaduna State Government.”

The post generated mixed reactions from social media users.
