Troops of Operation HADIN KAI
Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have rescued eight people and repelled an attack on a military location in separate operations across Borno.
This is contained in an operational report made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
The army said troops of 82 Division Task Force Battalion rescued four minors around Ngoshe in Gwoza Local Government Area on July 14.
The military also said the troops rescued four women at Armuda Bridge on July 15 after they escaped from the Agapalawa area of the Mandara Mountains.
According to the report, the troops also intercepted a suspected terrorist logistics supplier.
“The women said most fighters had either deserted the camps or sustained injuries during previous operations, leaving the camps without effective leadership,” it said.
The army also said troops of 149 Battalion, in conjunction with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), intercepted a suspected ISWAP logistics supplier at Gubio town in Gubio Local Government Area.
It said the suspect confessed to supplying Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) to terrorists operating around the Binduldul-Kareto axis.
Items recovered from the suspect included one vehicle and one mobile phone.
The military however, said that troops of 145 Battalion at Walada, Damasak, in Mobbar Local Government Area, came under attack from ISWAP fighters in the early hours of Thursday. (NAN)
