The All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate in Oyo State, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, has donated a brand-new Toyota Camry to Mrs Rachael Alamu, Principal of Community High School, Esiele, in Oriire Local Government Area, in recognition of her courage and resilience after surviving a kidnapping ordeal.

She was among the teachers abducted alongside pupils during the May attack on Community High School, Esiele, and Yawota Baptist Nursery and Primary School in Oriire Local Government Area.
During captivity, the principal was reportedly forced by the kidnappers to appear in several video recordings used to communicate with the outside world.

Presenting the vehicle, Alli commended Mrs Alamu for her exceptional bravery, composure and commitment to the safety and welfare of the abducted pupils throughout the traumatic experience.
The senator described the donation as a modest gesture to acknowledge her courage and demonstrate solidarity with victims of insecurity.
He expressed the hope that the gift would support her recovery and serve as encouragement as she resumes her professional responsibilities.
The abducted pupils and teachers were later rescued after spending several weeks in captivity, bringing relief to their families, the Oriire community and Oyo State at large.
