Nigerian dance sensation, Isaac Chinagrom, whose song Mr Vendor, rocked Nigeria’s music air waves in the 80s has released his highly anticipated sound track, ‘Wine with me.’

Chinagrom hit the limelight in 1984 when he won John Player Gold Leaf organized disco competition and went on to the United Kingdom to represent Africa in a world disco dance competition.

The highly energetic song is his first release in 2026 and it is a major milestone for afrobeat lovers and party goers.

Speaking while reacting to the song, a longtime friend of Chinagrom, Peter Anosike, said that the song proves the saying that wine tastes better with age.

Anosike, who is the promoter of the song, commended the artiste for his smooth transition from dancing to singing.

According to him, a lot of people most of the time find it difficult to reinvent themselves after they have got to the end of one career part.

However, he said that Chinagrom has become an exception to the rule.

His words: “I did a bit of music as a young man and there is what is known as ‘hit instinct’. When Isaac sent the song to me, I listened to it and my instinct told me that it is one of the best things to come from Ice Crom records, that is his record studio. Isaac has been going from strength to strength since he hit the limelight and I am proud of what he has achieved in music. He made Nigeria in particular and Africa in general proud in 1984, when he became a world disco dancing champion, a competition that featured dancers from more than 80 different countries and he came out victorious. I am hopeful that this song, ‘Wine with me’ will revive his music career and put him once again where he really belongs, among the greatest.”
