Governor Babagana Umara Zulum has pledged the support of the Borno State Government towards the smooth take-off of the newly established Federal University of Agriculture and Entrepreneurship, Bama.
Zulum gave the assurance during a visit to the Minister of Education, Tunji Alausa, in Abuja, commending President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for expanding access to quality education through the establishment of the institution in Bama, Borno State.
He said the appointment of principal officers for the university reflected the Federal Government’s commitment to educational development in Borno State and the North-East.
Zulum also praised the Minister of Education for his support in the appointment of the institution’s management team.
He assured the minister of the state government’s cooperation and pledged that Borno State would provide the necessary support to ensure the smooth commencement of academic activities.
“The establishment of the university and the appointment of its management team will significantly enhance educational development in Borno State and the North-East region,” the governor said.
According to him, the institution would also contribute to economic growth, entrepreneurship development, agricultural innovation, and human capital development in the state.
