Mrs Arinola Ogbara-Banjoko
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Mrs Arinola Ogbara-Banjoko as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of the Nigeria Commodity Exchange (NGX), under the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment.
Mrs Ogbara-Banjoko will represent Lagos State on the board and replace Mrs Bamidele Hussein.
The appointment was announced in a statement on Thursday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
President Tinubu had earlier in April constituted the board of the Exchange with Dalhatu Abubakar as Chairman, alongside other Non-Executive Directors.
According to the statement, the President expects the new appointee to apply her experience and professionalism to strengthen the Exchange’s operations.
Tinubu also charged her with supporting the Federal Government’s efforts to deepen commodity trading, improve market access for farmers and investors, and stimulate economic growth.
