The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Tijani Fatai, on Wednesday, visited key military formations to strengthen inter-agency collaboration and enhance coordinated security operations.
Fatai paid courtesy visits to the 9 Brigade Nigerian Army, Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) BEECROFT, and the 651 Base Service Group of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) as part of efforts to deepen operational synergy among security agencies.
At the 9 Brigade, Ikeja, he met with the Commander, Brig.-Gen. Ayokunle Owolabi, to reinforce collaboration in internal security operations and sustain joint efforts to protect residents.
At the Sam Ethnan Air Force Base, Ikeja, Fatai and the Base Commander, Air Commodore M.A. Imam, reviewed cooperation in intelligence sharing, professionalism and operational support toward improved security.

At NNS BEECROFT, Apapa, he met with Commodore Aiwuyor Adams-Aliu to discuss improved waterway security and stronger multi-agency coordination.
Fatai said effective policing in a complex state like Lagos requires seamless cooperation among security agencies, stressing the need for sustained unity between the police and the Armed Forces to safeguard lives, property and critical assets.
He commended the military formations for their continued support, noting that the partnership remains vital in combating crime, maintaining public order and addressing emerging threats.
The commissioner reaffirmed the command’s commitment to collaboration with stakeholders to ensure public safety and a secure environment for socio-economic activities across the state. (The Nation)
