The National Caretaker Working Committee (NCWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has approved the nomination of former Abia State Governor Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu to chair the National Convention Organizing Committee of the party.

Ikpeazu was recently appointed as the Nigerian Ambassador to Spain by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In the list of members of the 2026 Elective Convention seen by Daily Trust and signed by Senator Samuel Anyanwu, the National Secretary of the faction said the NCWC has approved and released the membership of the convention committee

The Committee comprises factional leaders and stakeholders drawn from across the country and saddled with the responsibility of planning, coordinating, and ensuring the successful conduct of the National Convention in line with the Constitution and guidelines of the Party.

The list also showed that Senator Mustapha Khabeeb has also been approved as the Secretary of the convention committee.

Earlier, the National Publicity Secretary of the faction, Jungudo Haruna Mohammed announced in a press conference that the sale of forms will commence immediately after the National Executive Committee, NEC meeting. (Daily Trust, but headline reworked)
