The Osun state governor, Ademola Adeleke, has approved the conduct of the 2026 staff promotion exercise across the entire public service of the state.

The state Head of Service, Elder Ayanleye Aina, who made this known in Osogbo on Thursday, instructed that the staff promotion exercise must commence with immediate effect by the affected agencies of government across the state.

“I am directing those in charge of the exercises to leave no stone unturned in ensuring that all necessary actions are taken promptly on this,” he said.

He, however, charged workers to “reciprocate the good gestures of the Governor by being more committed to their work so that our people can reap more dividends of democracy.”

The head of service further commended the governor for being worker-friendly at all times, saying he had restored the lost confidence of public servants in the bureaucratic system.

Aina recalled that, immediately the governor came on board in November 2022, he cleared the arrears of promotion on the ground, including their cash backing. (Nigerian Tribune)
