Suspected kidnappers have abducted a local hunters’ commander and his four-year-old son in Dzuel Village, Pallam District, Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa.

Sources said the assailants stormed the community at about 2 a.m. on Friday and seized James Madu, 40, a commander of the local hunters’ group, along with his son, Wazuntu James, from their home before escaping.

The sources said the incident followed a series of threats against Madu’s life. According to community sources, he had earlier reported that a man identified as Monday Zamdayu had been intimidating and threatening to kill him.

Security operatives have since visited the scene, while efforts are underway to track down the kidnappers and rescue the victims safely. (Zagazola)
