Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar, has called for the full, unedited airing of his recent interview on Piers Morgan Uncensored, following what he described as “misleading narratives and allegations of religious persecution” against Nigeria.
In a post shared on X on Wednesday, November 12, Tuggar said he appeared on Piers Morgan’s flagship programme to provide a factual and contextual perspective on claims regarding religious freedoms in the country.
“I appeared on @piersmorgan’s flagship programme, @PiersUncensored, where I presented a factual and contextual perspective on the misleading narratives and allegations of religious persecution in Nigeria,” Tuggar wrote.
The minister stated that his explanations were backed by verifiable data, though they might not align with certain preconceived opinions. He urged that the entire conversation be aired “exactly as recorded,” emphasizing the importance of integrity and transparency in media representation.
“Nigeria’s truth must not be distorted to fit external biases,” he added.
As of press time, the full or unedited version of the interview has not yet been released on Piers Morgan Uncensored’s official platforms.
Tuggar’s remarks come amid ongoing discussions about international perceptions of religious freedom and governance in Nigeria. (AriseNews TV)
