Anambra guber: PDP, APC strike accord to dislodge Soludo

Gov Soludo of Anambra State

Members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra State have thrown their full political weight behind the governorship ambition of Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the coming November 8 governorship election.

In a remark while introducing PDP members and eggheads to Ukachukwu/his key campaign organization heads in Awka on Tuesday, the leader of the group, Hon Joseph Madubeze, vowed they wouldn’t relent until Soludo was upstaged.

Madubeze disclosed that he was speaking the collective decision and minds of all PDP members and executives from the seven councils constituting the Anambra North senatorial zone, as it concerns the coming November 8 governorship election.

They vowed to rally around someone with demonstrable progressive credentials and a mindset like Ukachukwu to remove Soludo.

Madubeze told the APC candidate that those present were only representatives of their groups, describing him (Ukachukwu) as a ‘Daniel’ who has come to judgment.

He emphasized that the senatorial zone has unanimously declared their full support for Ukachukwu.

Prince Ukachukwu welcomed them warmly, commending their resolve to team up with him to achieve the aim of all people of goodwill in the state who have resolved to enthrone a new order in the state.

Party stalwarts, Emeka Ezejimofor from Ward 5, Fegge Onitsha, Nkechi Okosi from Ward 4, Onitsha North, and Joy Ukwu from Odoakpu Onitsha Ward 3 stated that the purpose of their visit was to identify with the Ikukuoma campaign team to deliver the APC candidate in the forthcoming election.
