KASSROMA MD, Alhaji Sirajo Yazid-Abukur

A fan of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, Alhaji Sirajo Yazid-Abukur, has promised N1million to the labourers who dug the grave where he was buried at his Daura residence.
Yazid-Abukur, who is the Managing Director, Katsina State Roads Maintenance Agency (KASSROMA), made this known in Katsina on Thursday following the viral video of the labourers.
According to him, the team leader of the grave diggers, Malam Muhammad Ali, will receive N500,000, while the two other members will receive N250,000 each.
He revealed that he has sent for the labourers, saying that the money can serve as capital for the trio to set up businesses that can sustain them and their families.
Yazid-Abukur further commended Gov. Dikko Radda of Katsina State for the deep concern he has shown before, during and after the burial of Buhari.
He said getting physically involved in the burial of the late former president showed the Governor’s loyalty, humility and leadership qualities.
The KASSROMA boss also prayed to the Almighty Allah to forgive the former president’s shortcomings and grant him eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that the former president died on Sunday at a London hospital after a protracted illness, and his remains werr returned to Nigeria on Tuesday.
The late former president’s remains were accompanied from London by the Vice-President Kashim Shettima, along with other top government officials and Buhari’s immediate family.
Upon arrival at the Ummaru Musa Yar’adua International Airport Katsina, the body of the late Buhari was received by President Bola Tinubu.
NAN recalls that the body was accompanied by the president and other dignitaries to Daura, the hometown of the late former president, where he was laid to rest In his personal residence. (NAN)
