The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has granted waivers to all defectors from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and other parties who recently joined the party.

The party has also fixed 25th of June to hold its primary election in the Federal Capital Territory (FRCT), Abuja.

Blueprint gathered that the decision to grant waiver to new entrants was reached at an emergency meeting of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) held Monday night at the party’s national secretariat.

National Organising Secretary, Alhaji Muhammed Suleiman Arugungu, also confirmed the development Tuesday while inaugurating the chairmen and secretaries of the party Screening and Screening Appeal Committees for the FCT area council election.

Arugungu said the party’s highest administrative organ, on Monday, approved waiver for all new members into the party for the shadow election. (Blueprint)
