Governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for the Anambra 2025 election, Mr. John Nwosu, has described

June 12 as a powerful reminder of the strength of the people's will, the importance of justice, and the enduring hope for a better Nigeria.

Stating this on his Democracy Day message posted on his official X page on Thursday, Nwosu noted that the day is more than a date.

He cited Anambra citizens as people that have always stood at the forefront of progress, resilience, and excellence in the face of challenges.

Nwosu wrote: "Our democracy is a work in progress, and each of us has a role to play.

"On this special occasion of Democracy Day, I extend my heartfelt greetings to every son and daughter of Anambra State and in Diaspora.

"From the hills of Umunze to the enterprises of Anaedo and from the Plains of Omambala to riverine banks of the River Niger and the bustling commerce climes of Onitsha; from the learning halls of Awka to the markets of Nnewi, let us rise with renewed commitment to uphold democratic values, promote good governance, and protect the peace and unity of our dear state.

"May we continue to lead by example, fostering responsible leadership, youth empowerment, and community development in all our local government areas.

"As we celebrate today, let us remember that the power of democracy lies in the people. Let us use our voices wisely and work hand in hand to build the Anambra of our dreams; a land of light, vision, and opportunities."

He prayed God to continue to bless Anambra State and the Federal Republic of Nigeria, saying, "Happy Democracy Day, Ndi Anambra!"
