With less than a year after he emerged as one of the Top 10 Most Active Senators in Nigeria, the Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial district at the National Assembly, Dr. Victor Umeh, has topped the notch with his conferment as the Best Performing Senator 2024 by Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Anambra State Chapter.

The award which was presented over the weekend, recognizes Umeh?s exceptional representation in the Senate and his significant contributions to the progress of Ndigbo.

Receiving the award on behalf of the lawmaker, Barr. Nnamdi Raphael Anagor expressed gratitude to the organizers, stating that Umeh has demonstrated remarkable capacity in service, quality representation, and protection of Ndigbo interests.

Anagor noted that the award bestowed on Senator Umeh is well-deserved, considering his outstanding performance in the Senate.

He cited Umeh?s impressive track record in the Senate to include, sponsoring motions that have positively impacted many Nigerians, noting that he has also advocated for adequate care and sound education for all Nigerian children, emphasizing the need to protect them from abuse and neglect.

Umeh has also been recognized for his philanthropic efforts, particularly in the area of education.

His Victor Umeh Education Foundation (VUMEF) has provided scholarships to indigent students, enabling them to pursue their educational goals.

He said: "Umeh has been a strong advocate for the establishment of a skill school in Agulu, Anaocha LGA, aimed at empowering youths with vocational skills.
