The Obidient Movement has reiterated its commitment to advancing accountability and transparency while charting a new course aimed at ending bad governance in Nigeria.
The group disclosed this in a communique issued at the ?Good Governance Symposium to Chart a New Course for the Obidient Movement in the South-East? held at Onitsha, Anambra State on Saturday, November 9, 2024 signed by its National Coordinator, Dr. Tanko Yunusa.
According to Yunusa, ?The Obidient Movement has reiterated its commitment to advancing accountability and transparency in governance across Nigeria.
?In a 7-point communique issued at the conclusion of its one-day Good Governance Symposium to Chart a New Course for the Obidient Movement in the South-East, the Movement expressed its unwavering resolve to bid farewell to bad governance in Nigeria.?
Highlighting the resolutions of the communique, the group resolved to collaborate with Anambra state Support groups, reposition, formalize, restructure, reinforce, harmonize, provide ethical leadership, engage members in diaspora as well as emerge as a beacon of hope.
Continuing, Yunusa said: ?Collaboration with Anambra State Support Groups ? This partnership facilitated the symposium, aimed at strengthening and repositioning the Movement for greater impact and strategic development.
?Repositioning the Obidient Movement for Greater Impact ? A renewed focus on enhancing the Movement?s influence and reach.
?Formalization and Restructuring ? Under the leadership of Dr. Tanko Yunusa, the Movement is focused on unifying efforts and streamlining its structure for cohesive progress.
?Reinforcement of Organizational Structure ? Aligning the Movement?s mission to promote social and political cohesion, ethical leadership, and purpose-driven advocacy.
?Harmonization, Restructuring, and Unified Purpose ? Committing to a unified mission and strengthening social and political cohesion across the Movement.
?Ethical Leadership and Diaspora Engagement ? Emphasizing the importance of ethical leadership while harnessing the role of the diaspora in reshaping Nigeria?s future.
