The Delta State Polytechnic Otefe Oghara has produced a prototype fuel-less and soundless generator.

The machine was unveiled by the Delta State Commissioner for higher education Prof. Nyerovwo Tonukari during the second inaugural lecture organized by the school management.

The lecture, which was tagged “From titbits to network and social network perspective,” delivered by Mr. Akinpelumi Gbolasere, took place at the Onanefe Ibori Auditorium in the school premises at Oghara, headquarters of Ethiope West Local Government Area.

The Commissioner for higher education applauded the polytechnic under the Prof Emmanuel Ufuofphu-Biri leadership for coming up with such a laudable innovation.

While encouraging the team behind the innovation to sustain it, the higher education Commissioner noted that such intellectual innovation is what the Delta State Government would want to identify with.

Speaking to newsmen after unveiling the fuel-less generator, the Rector of the institution, Prof Emmanuel Ufuofphu-Biri, stated that he set up a committee to go into research and to come up with what would be of great value and benefit to the society.

He noted that the innovation would help in combating the electricity problem in the nation and would add more value to the institution, the state and the Nation at large.

Speaking more on the machine, The Dean of Engineering department and leader of the team that invented the machine, Mr. Collins Eneyimofe stated that the fuel-less generator uses battery and could be charged, adding that the efficiency of the 2.5 KVA power-generating set produced by the Engineering team of the institution was very high.
