The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State has concluded all arrangements for its primary election to pick its flag bearer for the November 16, 2024, governorship election in the state.
The primary election, which is slated for tomorrow, Thursday, April 25, 2024, will be held at the International Culture and Events Centre (The Dome), Akure.
The publicity secretary of the party, Kennedy Peretei, who disclosed this, disclosed that the election will be conducted by a 7-man primary election committee headed by Bayelsa State Deputy Governor, His Excellency, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo.
Peretei said the seven aspirants for the primary election of the party have been cleared by the Senator Sam Egwu Screening Committee to participate in the primary election.
He said a total of 627 delegates from the 18 local government areas of the state are expected to elect the standard bearer of the party for the November 16, 2024, governorship election.
According to him, the primary will commence at about 10 am, urging delegates to gather at the Dome for their accreditation process
He, however, warned that “all those who are not delegates or have no business at the venue are advised to keep a reasonable distance from the arena.
The seven aspirants contesting for the party’s ticket include Agboola Ajayi, Adeolu Akinwumi, Sola Ebiseni, Bamidele Akingboye, Bosun Arebuwa, John Ola Mafo, and Kolade Akinjo. (Nigerian Tribune)
