Senior pastor of Awaiting the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, Adewale Giwa has condemned the manner in which All Progressives Congress (APC) conducted its governorship primary in Ondo State on Saturday.

Condemning the election, the cleric said political thugs were everywhere. He said they chased away members of the party who wanted to cast their votes.

Pastor Giwa said: “This is not how to conduct a direct primary election. They should not waste the lives of innocent people of Ondo state.

“The political thugs are everywhere, voting for the candidate of their choice while the real voters have been sent home.

“At this juncture, the party has to use its power to declare interest in whoever it wants instead of playing to the gallery. Why is it difficult for them to tell the aspirants who they want as standard bearer,” he added. (Daily Independent)
