Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada

Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada representing Nasarawa Western Senatorial District at the National Assembly has called on Nigerians to live in peace and harmony with one another irrespective of region, tribe and religion differences.
Wadada, who was the Chairman of the occasion to mark the Tiv Development Association (TIDA) 2024 annual festival celebration held at Imon village Obi LGC of Nasarawa state on Saturday, said that without peace and unity amongst Nigerians, no meaningful development can take place.
According to him, “It is very significant for the Tiv people to come together and share their culture and tradition with Non Tiv people in the state and the Nation at large. I call on the state government to give the Tiv people the position they deserve. I implore on all the tribes in the state to emulate the Tiv people by coming together to discuss common problems and proffer solutions to such. Doing so will make governance simple at all levels.”
Wadada also commended Governor Abdullahi Sule for uniting the Tiv people and other tribes in the state as well as appealed to the entirepeopleof the state to collectively support the administration of Governor Sule to succeed in order to enable him deliver the dividend of democracy to the people.
Earlier, in his speech at the event TIDA president in Nasarawa State comrade Solomon Chunku, said that the Tiv day annual cultural festival celebration serves as a forum for Tiv people from all corner of the state gather to discuss matters that affect the TIV people, proffer solutions and to promote cordial relationship with their neighors in the state and beyond.
“I want to thank Governor Abdullahi Sule for his efforts at ensuring absolute peace returned to the land.Tiv of Nasarawa state have returned to r their ancestral homes after a long time forceful displacement as internally displaced persons IDPs from series of violent crisis that affected the Tiv people before the emergence of Engr Abdullahi Sule as the Governor of Nasarawa State. The peace initiatives of governor Sule have yielded positive results evidences from the realization of the bountiful harvest from our farms within the reigns of Engr Abdullahi Sule as the governor of Nasarawa State,” he said.
Comrade Solomon further applauded governor Sule for appointing Tiv sons and daughters into his cabinet, calling on the Tiv and the entire people ofthe state to accord him thedesire support throughloyalty for lead the people to the promise land.
