The management of Rangers International Football Club of Enugu, under the leadership of Amobi Ezeaku, on Thursday unveiled an E-Sports team in the Coal City.

This followed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a private firm, Legacy Gaming Limited, to establish the clubs e-sports division.

Ezeaku, the General Manager of Rangers, in a meeting with stakeholders, tasked the firm to get the right mix of e-players and instructors to ensure that Rangers e-sports team compete and win its domestic and international championships.

E-Sports is a viable way to go and it is my belief that in a very short period, we shall be celebrating in e-sports.

The management will ensure that all that is needed to push this will be made available, Ezeaku said.

He added that with the move, Rangers now proudly stands as the first club in Nigeria to venture into the world of e-sports.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Chukwuebuka Agbasi, Chief Operating Officer of Legacy Gaming Limited, and George Nnamani, CEO of Legacy Limited, signed the MoU on behalf of their company. (NAN)
