The Chartered Institute of Forensics and Certified Fraud Investigators of Nigeria (CIFCFIN) has approved the appointment of Dr Isa Salifu as the substantive Registrar General and Chief Executive Officer of the institute.

Salifu, who was appointed in acting capacity in 2023, was confirmed during CIFCFIN’s extraordinary meeting held on Sunday, March 3, 2024.

His confirmation, according to a statement by CIFCIFIN, is geared towards stabilizing the institute in line with its mandate with a view to rooting out fraud and corruption in Nigeria, deploying the cutting edge forensic tools and expertise.

“With CIFCIFIN as the only professional body charged with the multidisciplinary and multi-sectoral mandate to promote and advance the practice of forensic investigation in the country, the new leadership is expected to provide the enabling environment,” the statement said.

The new Registrar is an accomplished and seasoned professional, banker, tax consultant, certified forensic expert, and management consultant with diverse managerial, educational, professional and career achievements.
