Students of Nnamdi Azikiwe University High School, UNIZIK Awka have emerged tops in the Martin Luther King Jnr Day 2024 competition among other schools in Anambra State.
The event which was organized by the US Missions in Nigeria through the American Spaces in Nigeria took place on January 18, 2024.
In a statement by the Media Adviser to the Vice Chancellor, Dr Emmanuel C. Ojukwu, he said the event was for secondary schools in Anambra State.
Presenting the Award winning students to the Vice Chancellor, the principal of the school, Mrs Israel Olanike Atinuke, praised the students who have always been known for their hard work and excellent performance.
While giving assurance that the high standards for which the school is known will continue to be maintained, she thanked the Vice Chancellor, Prof Charles Esimone, for the huge support to the school.
In his response, Prof Esimone congratulated the UNIZIK High School students who participated in this year’s Martin Luther King Jnr Day.
He urged the students to do more, saying that the future belongs to those who work hard to achieve their dreams.
Prof Esimone further reassured the school of more support within the limit of the resources available to the university.
