Managing Director, Federal Housing Authority FHA, Sen Ashafa

The Managing Director, Federal Housing Authority (FHA), Senator Gbenga Ashafa, has lauded the efforts of past and present Nigerian leaders for providing affordable and serene houses across the country.
Senator Ashafa who made this disclosure at the international conference centre ICC on Thursday during the opening ceremony to mark the 50 years anniversary of the authority in Abuja.
He said the proactive decisions and measure taken over five decades ago had provided shelter of different shapes and shades to all Nigerians.
He commended the past and present leadership of the Authority for the laudable contributions to the development of housing sector by government at all levels.
The Managing Director maintained that staff morale, encouragement and determination to achieve results, through the determination of the current management had contributed to the success story of the organization.
Senator Ashafa said the current management had embarked on many laudable development and construction of Housing estates in the country with the completion of 748 housing units in Zuba, the federal capital territory.
He commended Nigeria's President, Ahmed Bola Tinubu under his leadership and Renewed Hope agenda for continuous supports to the Authority, with a view to providing housing for all across the country.
The Chief Executive officer pleaded the members of the National Assembly to assist in updating the act that established the agency, so as to heat the ground running.
He promised the completion of the ongoing Bwari Housing Estate, the Mbora Housing Estate in Lugbe and the construction of Smart City to be known as Renewed Hope Estate in the nation’s city.
Senator Ashafa revealed that the authority will embark on the replication of the Mbora Housing Estate in the remaining five geopolitical zones across the country.
He congratulated both present and past management of the Authority including present staffs and those that have retired having contributed a lot to the development of the agency.
