President Tinubu
The Ijaw Diaspora Council (IDC) has urged President Bola Tinubu to prioritise unity and welfare of Nigerians following the conclusion of election litigation at the Supreme Court.
Prof Mondy Gold President of IDC made the call in an interview with our correspondent on Friday in reaction to the Supreme Court’s affirmation of Tinubu’s election.
Gold urged Nigerians to be optimistic as the future holds so much hope for progress.
“The 2023 presidential election coming to a conclusion is a significant moment for our nation.
“As the Supreme Court renders its decision, we must remember that tomorrow always brings new opportunities for change and progress.
“In these challenging times, we hope that God continues to support us in our collective effort to lift our nation from the ashes of corrupt leadership, misgovernance, and the spread of misinformation,” Gold said.
The Ijaw diaspora leader noted that it was crucial that Nigerians work together to rebuild and restore the country to a better state.
“It is our sincere hope that Nigerian politicians will begin to prioritise the well-being of the nation above tribal and religious affiliations.
“By fostering unity and working towards common goals, we can move forward towards a brighter and more prosperous future for all Nigerians,” Gold said.
