The real reason why Ifeanyi Ubah, Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District in the red chambers of the National Assembly, dumped the Young Progressive Party (YPP) for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday has emerged.
Impeccable sources close to Ubah disclosed to News Express that the move is as a result of the Senator’s plans to run on a strong platform for the governorship seat of Anambra State in the next election scheduled to hold in 2026.
According to one of the sources, Ubah is “leaving the small party (YPP) for APC because he is determined to become the next governor of Anambra State in 2026.”
“Yes, he is leaving YPP. That platform won’t take him to where he is desiring to. He wants to be governor of this state and transform the state to the glory of God,” the source further said.
