Three persons were dispatched to their early graves on Friday in a fatal accident that occurred along Ilupeju- Itapa Ekiti road in Oye Local Government Area of Ekiti State.

The accident which left a gory sight involved a motorcycle conveying three persons and a truck.

According to a source, the motorcycle was heading to Ilupeju and the truck was moving towards Itapa when the accident occured killing the three of them.

The three persons had died on the spot and their bodies were evacuated from the scene of the accident by men of the Federal Road Safety Corps( FRSC) Ekiti Sector Command.

Many of the residents who rushed to the scene of the accident were seen shedding tears in sympathy.of the dead victims.

The Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, Ekiti State Sector, Olusola Joseph, who confirmed the death of the three persons, said, “The accident involved a bike conveying three persons and a truck. It claimed the lives of the three persons on the bike.

“The bike and the vehicle were coming from opposite directions when the accident occured.

“I learnt the truck was descending while the bike was ascending. We have not really been able to establish how it really happened.

“As I speak, men of the corps are on the way to hospital in Ado Ekiti to deposit the dead bodies in the morgue,” it added.(Daily Sun)
