Gov Yusuf
Kano Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf has given approval to 45 sworn-in special advisers that they were free to advise him, whenever they felt there was need to do so.
This was just as he warned Civil Servants to be 100 percent loyal to his government, reminding them that when he assumed office he ensure that all those he met on ground were promoted and given more chances to work in peace.
Alhaji Yusuf made the call on Thursday after the 45 special advisers had were sworn-in by the state attorney general and commissioner of justice Barrister Haruna Dederi at Government House.
According to him, “nobody has monopoly of knowledge adding that since no human being is 100 percent perfect, hence necessary for them to call him to order when necessary to do so.
“You should be bold enough to look at my eye and tell me that am wrong when you see me going ashtray.”
According to him, the fundamental jobs of the Advisers are to work closely with him and advise him where he goes wrong and support if he is right.
He charged the new Advisers to work in tandem with the Civil Servants so that his Administration would achieve the desired mission and promises they took.
“We have done much in the last 100 days in office, by prompts payments of salaries, allowances and the promotion of the Civil Servants, therefore we will not tolerate disloyalty for each that anybody who is not ready to work with Us should prepare to go”.
Yusuf then asked the State Head of Service to reemphasize to the Civil Servants the required need for dedication to work and service to Humanity.
He also called on them not to disappoint the confidence reposed them, noting that they should know that they have taken Oath of office and they would answer to those Oaths by dedicating themselves to the promotion of the wellbeing of the State.
“Kano needs you today and your selection was based on your proven track records in the field of humanity, and you should do all your best by advising Us appropriately to make Kano great,” Abba charged the advisers. (Nigerian Tribune)
