The Nasarawa State Government has promised to give Nasarawa State General Hospital a facelift following the destruction of the facility occasioned by a heavy rainstorm that affected the staff quarters and the hospital itself.

Governor Abdullahi Sule made the promise when he undertook an on-the-spot assessment of the level of damages done to the facility. The Governor was represented by his Deputy, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe. He assured the Management and Staff of the readiness of the state government to provide quality health care services to the residents of the state and beyond. He thanked God that no life was lost in the incident.

Governor Sule, through his representative, inspected the staff quarters and directed the state Ministry of Works to immediately come up with the report of the assessment for government’s urgent attention.

The Deputy Governor was accompanied by the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Gaza Gwana; the Chief Medical Director of Nasarawa State Hospitals Management Board, Dr. Egba Edego; and other top political office holders from Nasarawa LGA.

It would be recalled that Nasarawa town in Nasarawa LGA was affected by windstorm on Tuesday, August 31, 2023, leaving residents of Nasarawa devastated.
