Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi

Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru and Mr Peter Mbah have been sworn in as the new governors of Ebonyi and Enugu states respectively.
In Ebonyi, Nwifuru took oath of office as the 4thelected governor of the state at Pa Ngele Oruta Township Stadium, Abakiliki, alongside his Deputy, Princess Patricia Obila.
The Immediate past Governor of Ebonyi, Engr. David Umahi, and his Deputy, Dr Eric Kelechi Igwe, also was present during the swearing in ceremony.
Nwifuru’s oath of office was administered by the Ebonyi State Chief Judge, Justice Elvis Ngele.
In Enugu State, Mbah took his oath of office at the Michael Okpara Square, Enugu at about 11:50 a.m. on Monday.
The oath was administered by the Chief Judge of Enugu State, Justice A. Ozoemena. His Deputy, Barr Ifeanyi Ossai, took his oath of office a few minutes earlier
The Immediate past Governor, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, was at the event, alongside his Deputy, Barr Cecelia Ezeilo.
Some of the dignitaries at the event included former governor of old Anambra State, Senator Jim Nwobodo, former governor, Barr Sullivan Chime, Senator Chukwuka Utazi, Speaker of the Enugu State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Edward Ubosi, among others.
