Facts emerged Monday shedding light on the resignation of Hon Obinna Ichita, the only APGA member in the Abia State House of Assembly currently.

His purported resignation as a member of the party is contained in a letter in his personal letter head. The two-paragraph letter surfaced in the social media space on Sunday and published exclusively by News Express.

But appearing like a man with the intention to add twists to the unfolding scenario, Ichita said:

“The resignation letter l wrote have not been submitted, l wrote it as a result of dispute rocking the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). L will submit the letter if the dispute is not resolve as soon as possible”, Ichita said while responding to inquiries by news men in Umuahia, the capital of Abia State.

He cleared the air further, saying: “I have not join any other political party.”

According to the Member representing Aba South state constituency, Ichita, who was also the deputy governorship candidate of APGA in the just concluded governorship election, “l wrote the letter as a result of some members of the party battling for the leadership of the party on a national TV and disunity in the party.

“I disclosed the letter to some party leaders, am yet to submit the letter.

“If the party failed to correct errors in the political party l will submit the letter”.

But reactions have greeted his explanation. Monday evening, it was learnt that a member of the party wrote, saying: “You are one of the reasons why we lost out,

“You didn’t settle your followers in Aba, those that stands by you in all your trying times,

“You better go and never come out back, allow the sleeping dog, OK?”
