Vice Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ughelli South, Delta State, Snr Comr. Lucky O. O. Ukueku, has hailed the party’s candidate for the March 18 governorship election, Rt Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, and State House of Assembly Member-elect representing Ughelli South, Hon. Festus Utuama, for their ‘massive electoral victory’ during the keen contest.

According to the PDP chieftain, the emergence of Oborevwori as Delta State Governor “is a divine reflection of the true will of Deltans who voted massively without fear or intimidation, ensuring that the will of the masses prevail.”

“Your victory is a victory for all Deltans irrespective of political affiliation, as it shows that the hand of Almighty God is truly stamped on our dear state. Your emergence is a clear attestation of the majority will of Deltans,” Ukueku said in a statement, a copy of which was made available to News Express.

In the case of Hon. Festus Utuama, whom he described as his boss, Ukueke said: “I am overwhelmed by your victory as DTHA Ughelli South LGA Member-elect. I am very proud of you. Sir, your victory is a victory to all Ughelli South youths because you are a youth-friendly leader.

“I believe that you will definitely change the narrative of Ughelli South LGA, as the entire Constituency has trusted you by giving you the mandate to represent everyone.

“To the leadership of Ughelli South LGA, I must also commend all your efforts, the measures that you all put together in order to become Victorious both in the Governorship and the State House of Assembly elections is overwhelming.

“It is my heartfelt prayer that may the Almighty God continually to guide and direct the new leadership of our dear state on the right path to follow.

“Let me still use this medium to call on all contestants in this recent Governorship and Assembly elections, to accept defeat and congratulate their fellow contestants.

“In that regard, I will still appeal to the winners to work closely with them, as nobody is a loser. This is to enable them support their manifestos, for the betterment of our state.

“Once again, Congratulations.”
