The All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA has described the declaration of Dr Alex Otti as the winner of the Abia state governorship election means the liberation of Abia citizens from impunity and bad governance of 24 years under the PDP.

APGA while felicitating Otti, the governor-elect who contested the election on the ticket of the Labour Party (LP) among 17 other parties including the PDP, noted that his victory is divinely ordained.

The Abia state chapter of APGA therefore called on the Governor-elect, Otti to use the opportunity for “the liberation of Abia State and her citizens from the shackles of poverty, impunity and economic strangulation of over 24 years”.

The party expresses hope in Otti for the emancipation of the state from the shackles of political godfatherism, saying, it is “assured under a New Abia under your leadership as the number one citizen in Abia State”.

In celebrating the Governor-elect, the party in a press release signed by the State chairman, Rev. Augustine Ehiemere and State Secretary Elder Sunday Onukwubiri, said it “happily congratulate Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, on his resounding victory in the Abia State Governorship election held on 18th March, 2023”.

APGA however told Otti that a huge task of rebuilding Abia State from the worst State in Nigeria to the most viable and sustainable State in Nigeria, in terms of rapid and mega economic development lies ahead.

“APGA therefore request you to always bear in mind that much is expected from you in terms of reclaiming the lost glory of Abia State and by God’s grace upon you, Abia will be great again within the next 4 years, under your watch”, it added.
