The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has suspended collation of last weekend’s governorship election in Ebonyi State till Monday, March 20,

The Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state, Mrs Pauline Onyeka Ugochi, said yesterday that the suspension was due to some issues from Ishielu Local Government Area.

INEC had earlier announced the results in 12 local government areas of the state.

The results showed that the candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) and Speaker of Ebonyi state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, won in 10 LGs so far declared.

The People Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii, winning 1LG while All Progressives Ground Alliance (APGA Candidate, Professor Benard Odoh, won 1 LG.
