Ex-Governor TA Orji
There is anxiety over the health condition and whereabouts of former Abia State Governor, Senator Theodore Ahamefule (TA) Orji.
Rumours making the rounds in Abia for days now have it that he allegedly slumped in his Umuahia country home on Thursday evening, March 2, and was revived, only for him to purportedly slump again the next morning and flown to Abuja for medical attention.
The rumours have gained ground as Senator Orji, immediate past predecessor of incumbent Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, was last seen in public while casting his vote in the village during the February 25 Presidential and National Assembly elections.
However, one of TA Orji’s close aides dismissed the rumours following enquiries by News Express. He insisted this Saturday morning, March 11, that his principal is hale and hearty. “He is billed to commission some projects next week in Abia,” the aide said.
He disclosed that the former Abia helmsman would likely make a live video broadcast this afternoon to reassure his admirers that all is well with him.
